Welcome Back to School - Saint Anne Students and Families!

It is indeed a blessing to welcome all of our returning families and all of our new families to Saint Anne Catholic School this week. I hope and pray that all of you had a most enjoyable and relaxing summer. We had a great ‘Meet and Greet’ Day on Monday, enjoyable and informative orientation sessions for parents later in the week, and now our first School Mass celebrated today, in which we asked our Lord to bless each of us and our new academic year.

I know that this will be a great year! Our new principal, Mrs. Nadine Villarreal, together with our new and returning faculty, are ready to challenge your children to grow in grace and in knowledge and to achieve their God-given potential in every way. I am very much looking forward to celebrating with our junior high students this coming week our diocesan televised Masses for the homebound, and also our 8th grade’s ‘Pizza with the Priests’. We are off to a great start to what I know will be an exciting and blessed year of growing in faith and reason.

On Sunday, May 10, we celebrate Mother’s Day. We will gather in our parish for Sunday Mass on Mother’s Day, in this glorious Easter Season, and remember all our beloved mothers, living and deceased, in prayer. Saint Anne Parish will also offer a Novena of Masses for our mothers. You may enroll your mother in our Mother’s Day Novena by simply writing her name on the enclosed envelope and returning it to the parish either through the offertory or at the parish office before May 10. Any offering you wish to give is gratefully accepted. We will continue this prayerful remembrance in honor of your mothers for nine days, and place their names upon our Altar from Sunday, May 10 through Monday, May 18.

Beautiful Mother’s Day Mass Cards, in English and in Spanish, will be available to you and may be picked up in the designated boxes in our Church sanctuary if you would like to send to your mother a Catholic Mass Card Remembrance.

Dear Saint Anne Parish Family,

As we celebrate this holy season of Lent, I pray that this is a time of growth in the blessings of thee Lord. On Tuesday, March 24, at 7:00 PM, we will celebrate our Lenten Penance Service; there will be 8 priests hearing our Confessions that evening. Catholic radio evangelist Jesse Romero will give a talk that evening; he will also offer a Saint Anne Parish Lenten Morning of Refection on Wednesday, March 25, after our 7:30 AM Mass.

We celebrate Palm Sunday on March 28 and March 29. The Palm Sunday Mass schedule will follow our Saint Anne parish Sunday schedule. Palm fronds will be available from our ushers at the door of the Church before all Masses. Our Saint Anne Youth Group will offer beautiful Palm Crosses after Mass to raise funds for their parish retreat activities.
