The Lord be with you! While we normally use this greeting at our liturgical celebrations, I did not think there would be a problem in beginning my first letter to you as your new parish administrator by wishing all of you the Lord’s presence in your lives.
Some of you may remember me from 4 years ago when, in 2016, I came to St. Anne as a seminarian intern for 6 months and then I returned to Mundelein Seminary to complete my theological studies.
Now I come among you as your Parish Administrator. It’s a much different ballgame being the parish administrator rather than a seminarian intern. The responsibility of this great community of faith and educational ministry is on my shoulders. I hope I can count on your support as together we move forward as a community of faith in the midst of a world crisis.
I will try my best, together with my parochial vicar, Fr. Gregorio Leon, to be there for you as much as possible. But please remember, there are around 7,000 households of you and only two of us. I remember being told in the seminary, “Remember, you are not a Superman!” I hope all of you will remember that as well.
In closing, I would like to thank Monsignor Greg Gordon for leaving me a faithful, vibrant and active parish. That just doesn’t happen, but is a great testimony to his leadership these past 6 years. I would also like to thank the staff for helping in so many ways to make this transition go as smoothly as possible. The future looks very bright here at St. Anne Catholic Church. May our Blessed Mother and St. Anne intercede for us!

¡El Señor este con ustedes! Aunque normalmente usamos este saludo en nuestra celebración litúrgica, no pensé que habría un problema comenzar mi primera carta como su nuevo administrador parroquial, al desearles a todos ustedes la presencia del Señor en sus vidas.
Algunos de ustedes pueden recordarme de hace 4 años, 2016, cuando vine a Santa Ana como seminarista interno durante 6 meses y luego regrese al Seminario Mundelein para completar mis estudios teológicos.
Ahora estoy entre ustedes como su Administrador Parroquial. Es una jugada muy diferente ser el administrador de la parroquia en lugar de ser un seminarista interno. La responsabilidad de esta gran comunidad de fe y ministerio educativo esta sobre mis hombros. En medio de esta crisis mundial espero poder contar con su apoyo mientras avanzamos juntos como comunidad de fe.
Hare lo mejor que pueda, junto con mi vicario parroquial, el Padre Gregorio Leon, para estar a su disposición lo mas que sea posible. Pero recuerden, hay alrededor de 7,000 hogares y solo dos de nosotros. Recuerdo que me dijeron en el seminario: “¡Recuerda, no eres un Superman!” Espero que todos ustedes también lo recuerden.
Para concluir, me gustaría agradecer a Monseñor Greg Gordon por dejarme una parroquia fiel, vibrante y activa. Eso simplemente no sucede, pero es un gran testimonio de su liderazgo en los últimos 6 años. También me gustaría agradecer al personal por ayudar de diferentes maneras para que esta transición fluya lo mejor posible. El futuro se ve muy brillante aquí en la Parroquia de Santa Ana. ¡Que nuestra Santisima Madre y Santa Ana intercedan por nosotros!
