While I have granted permission to begin the reopening of public Masses, due to the ongoing gravity of the present moment and the restrictions being placed on us during the "Phase 2" civil reopening plan, I hereby extend the dispensation for all Catholic faithful of the Diocese of Las Vegas and those Catholics visiting within the geographic boundaries of our Diocese, from the obligation of attending Sunday Masses up to and including August 30, 2020.

While we recognize that many are eager to return to Mass in our churches, it remains important for those who are elderly and otherwise at risk to refrain from returning to public Liturgies until it is manifestly safe to do so. For all the faithful, especially those who are sick, at high risk of becoming sick, and their caregivers, the obligation to attend Sunday Mass is hereby dispensed.

Dispensación de la obligación de asistir a misa Extensión -5 de Julio hasta el 30 de Agosto

Mientras he otorgado permiso para comenzar la reapertura de Misas publicas, debido a la gravedad actual del momento y las restricciones que se nos imponen durante el plan de reapertura civil de la "Fase 2", por la presente extiendo la dispensación para todos los fieles católicos de la Diócesis de Las Vegas y los católicos que visitan dentro de los limites geográficos de nuestra diócesis, de la obligación de asistir a las misas dominicales hasta el 30 de agosto de 2020 incluido.

Mientras reconocemos que muchos están ansiosos por regresar a Misa en nuestras iglesias, sigue siendo importante para aquellos que son ancianos y que están en riesgo, de abstenerse de regresar a las Liturgias publicas hasta que sea manifiestamente seguro hacerlo. Para todos los fieles, especialmente aquellos que están enfermos, en alto riesgo de enfermarse, y aquellos que los cuidan, se les dispensa de la obligación de asistir a la misa dominical.
